Asuja eServ: Enabling Good Governance Using Technology

CIO Vendor The proliferation of smart phones and better internet services are transforming the way common people access public services, bypassing the traditional physical means with e-governance. However, though there exists a great growth potential, the e-governance market in India is still in nascent stage in comparison with the global scenario for a variety of reasons. Technically, unskilled manpower is certainly the biggest problem in realizing the digital dreams in governance through technology implementation. In addition to the unskilled manpower, lack of robust IT infrastructure to ensure seamless availability of citizen services poses another challenge. Moreover, implementation of the software that is at the heart of e-governance is becoming increasingly complex unlike the hardware implementation, signifying the importance of a technology partner in the e-governance projects implementation.
